Hot Water Diverters

Hot water diverters have been around for many years now.  The simple principle is that they use the excess electricity generated through the Solar PV system to heat a cylinder of water in place of exporting the electricity to the grid.  Where a battery storage system can struggle to make financial sense sometimes, hot water diverters can make more sense.  These systems are available for small domestic cylinders and can also be purchased to switch three-phase loads in commercial installations.  They are generally quick and simple to install and can make a significant difference to your energy consumption.  After all, there is almost always a summertime demand for hot water!
